Capabilities
Automated Fabric Cutting
We can handle the most complex cutting jobs with efficiency and precision using Patternsmith CAD software and our 63" X 22' long Autometrix Carbon cutting table.
Radio Frequency Sealing
We utilize 15kW Kabar welding equipment capable of welds of up to at least 61 in/sq. Custom welds including radial patterns, pockets, bladder valves, etc. can be easily accommodated.
Automated Web Cutting & Tacking
At Union Scioto we have made hundreds of different types of ratchet straps, web slings, and cinching straps. We utilize Sheffield automated hotknife cutting machines to cut polyester, polypropylene and nylon webbing to length. Our automated AMS LK-1942GA Juki tacking equipment enables us to digitally load various sew patterns that are repeatable from one copy to the next for predictable quality control. Break strength testing can be provided by way of a third party lab.
Industrial Sewing
Our plant utilizes a wide array of high quality Juki sewing machines including the following:
- 301 Lockstitch
- 304 Zigzag Stitch
- 401 Chainstitch
- 516 Safety Stitch
- Automated Tacking
Grommets and Hardware
Does your part require grommets or other types of plastic/metal components? No problem! We utilize semi automatic grommeting equipment and always have deep stock of various hardware components including grommets, hooks, rings, loops and buckles.
